When visitors leave comments on the site, the clinic collects form data, IP addresses, and browser user agent strings for spam detection purposes. A hashed string derived from your email address may be shared with the Gravatar service to check its usage. Once approved, your profile picture displays publicly with your comment.

Media

Users should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download and extract any location data from images on the site.

Cookies

Commenters may opt to save their name, email, and website in cookies lasting one year for convenience on future comments. A temporary cookie is set on the login page containing no personal data, discarded upon browser closure.

Login creates multiple cookies lasting two days; screen options cookies last one year. Selecting “Remember Me” extends login persistence to two weeks. Logging out removes login cookies. Publishing articles creates an additional cookie indicating the post ID, expiring after one day.

Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely for automatic follow-up comment approval. Registered users' personal information is stored indefinitely and may be managed or deleted at any time by administrators.

Where Your Data Is Sent

Visitor comments may undergo automated spam detection services for review. No other personal data is routinely transferred outside Uganda.
